Moreover, stress and emotional eating have become prevalent during these uncertain times. The global pandemic has brought about a wide range of emotions such as anxiety, fear, frustration, and sadness. Many people turn to food as a way to cope with these emotions, seeking comfort in high-calorie snacks and indulgent foods. Stress can also disrupt sleep patterns, which may further contribute to weight gain as lack of sleep has been linked to increased hunger and decreased satiety.

Remember, the pandemic has affected each individual differently, and it’s essential to practice self-compassion and kindness. Weight gain is not a reflection of worth or character, but rather a consequence of exceptional circumstances.
